Florida State has announced a number of returning 2020 seniors for the 2021 athletics season.

On Tuesday, men’s golfers Jamie Li and Greyson Porter officially announced their return.

Last year, Li shot a career-low -0.78 vs. par and totaled three Top-10 finishes. In every year, the Bath, England, native has improved his scoring average, setting up what could be a tremendous final year.

“The decision was pretty simple,” Li said of returning for a fifth year. “It was almost a no-brainer, especially given all the insidesto the professional game at the moment. Being part of this program for the last four years has been the best decision I’ve ever made.”

A multi-year captain, Porter is ready to put his best foot forward in his final season. Hobbled by an injury in 2019-20, the Clearwater, Fla., native has also steadily improved his stroke average, shooting a 73.10 in his last full year in 2018-19.

“This has definitely been one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever had to make,” Porter added. “Having the opportunity to come back to Florida State and play for the golf team is a very rare opportunity and I’m definitely not going to pass on it.”

FSU also announced that two women’s tennis stars, Nandini Das and Andrea Garcia, would be returning in 2021.

Softball seniors Caylan Arnold, Cassidy Davis, Dani Morgan and Anna Shelnutt announced on June 18 that they are coming back in 2021.

Outfielder Reese Albert, a junior in 2020, also announced in May that he was returning in 2021 and was passing up the MLB Draft.
