Bowl-bound Seminole fans can simply check their bags at the airport and go straight to the fun while a Bags rep will do all the heavy lifting for them for just $39.95 for two bags.
A Bags rep will claim their bags at the airport and deliver them anywhere they choose within 100 miles of the airport. The traveler will receive a text message when their bags are picked up and another when their bags are delivered to their hotel or destination, allowing the traveler to focus on friends and bowl fun.
The service is available for business and leisure travel year round in more than 250 U.S. cities, handling more than 5 million checked bags each year.
Bags was created by former Florida State basketball player Craig Mateer, a 1988 graduate, who now serves on the FSU Board of Trustees. The president of Bags is Bobby Miles, who played basketball at Florida State under head coach Joe Williams. Miles earned his undergraduate in 1984 and Master’s of Accounting from FSU in 1985. The Seminole basketball connections continue with Michael Polite, Director of Sports Travel Services for Bags, who earned a degree in Communications at FSU and later a Master’s degree. Polite played for Pat Kennedy from 1987-1991 and then professionally in the NBA and in Europe for a decade. Michael’s son, Anthony, plays guard for Leonard Hamilton’s current Seminoles team.
